Cougaar Software, Inc. (CSI), an innovative technology company in the Washington D.C. area specializing in cognitive computing and distributed intelligent agent solutions, is pleased to announce the recent completion of a United States Army Europe (USAREUR) operational field demonstration of it Distribution and Retrograde Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) Management (DRAM) capability.
In parallel to the Reception, Staging and Onward Movement (RSOM) of the 2nd Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division, a team of researchers composed of the Army’s Armament Research Development and Engineer Center (ARDEC) and CSI personnel conducted a field demonstration of DRAM capabilities. The DRAM team used movement data from the actual unit deployment, including real-time ITV data, to support course of action development, selection and contingency-driven replanning, as well as movement execution monitoring. USAREUR personnel were able to track selected rail movements and deployment status of unit equipment and materiel.
CSI leverages advanced cognitive computing and automation concepts as well as intelligent agent technologies to provide next generation planning, decision support, and optimization systems for military and commercial customers. These solutions are built on CSI’s state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence platform, called ActiveEdge®, a distributed intelligent cognitive agent development framework based on the DARPA Cognitive Agent Architecture (Cougaar) technology.
